Salesforce and Bubble.io: Embracing the No-Code Revolution

After more than 10 years working in the Salesforce ecosystem as a consultant and solution architect, I’ve seen how powerful no-code platforms can be in transforming the way businesses solve problems. From my early days building custom Salesforce solutions to helping organizations maximize their efficiency, the platform gave me the tools to automate workflows and streamline processes—all without needing deep coding knowledge.   

But as technology evolves, so do the platforms that power our solutions. When I discovered Bubble.io, I realized that the world of no-code was expanding in ways I hadn’t imagined. I had spent years in the Salesforce world, but Bubble opened up new possibilities. Not only was it intuitive, but it also allowed me to build complex applications faster and more flexibly than ever before.

As someone deeply entrenched in Salesforce, the thought of transitioning to another platform initially seemed daunting. But as I began to explore Bubble.io, I noticed similarities. The “clicks not code” approach I’d used in Salesforce was a natural fit for Bubble’s workflow builder, and the data modeling techniques I used in Salesforce transferred seamlessly to Bubble’s database system.

I was able to build an internal sales tracking tool in Bubble with API integrations that would have required code to build in Salesforce.. In Bubble, My Salesforce experience had laid the groundwork for learning this new platform.

While Salesforce gave me the foundation, Bubble enabled me to explore a broader range of solutions. One of the projects I’ve found most rewarding is an investor portal I’m building to streamline communication and investment deal management. Using Bubble, I’ve been able to develop a system that centralizes all investment-related data and allows investors to manage their portfolios without the need for constant manual updates. The same principles I learned in Salesforce around automation and workflows helped me create a system that was both powerful and easy to use.

The journey from Salesforce to Bubble has enabled me to learn about the no-code revolution beyond Salesforce. Each platform has use cases where it is most suited, and there is overlap. Salesforce is traditionally used for enterprise-level sales, service and marketing solutions whereas Bubble can be used to rapidly build customized applications for all size businesses from startup to enterprise. What excites me most is how accessible Bubble makes app development for non-developers. As more businesses move toward no-code solutions, the potential for innovation seems limitless.
